I waited for the promotion before ordering, and I'm glad I did. The performance for local AI, coding, and content generation has been excellent. At the discounted price, it feels like one of the best AI-focused mini PCs available right now.
Building RAG applications requires plenty of memory, and that's where this machine shines. The 128GB unified memory lets me work with larger vector databases and models than I could before. For AI developers, it's a great value considering the hardware you're getting.
All worked out fine. The real big llm test still needs to happen.
I've been experimenting with AI agents that browse the web, write code, and automate repetitive tasks. The Ryzen AI Max+ 395 handles these workloads surprisingly well. Running everything locally also gives me more privacy and control over my data.

This system completely redefines the capabilities of a compact machine, specifically for heavy local development. Powered by 16 Zen 5 cores, maintaining a local Python 3.14 environment and batch-updating massive dependency lists executes in a fraction of the usual time.
The standout feature, however, is the massive 128 GB of high-speed unified memory. Because up to 96 GB can be dynamically allocated as VRAM for the Radeon 8060S, the system effortlessly crushes local LLM pipelines. Running large, robust models locally in LM Studio is incredibly smooth, delivering prompt processing speeds and token generation that comfortably outpace many high-end discrete desktop GPUs.
